Volunteerific Program

About the Program

Given the intrinsic volunteerism spirit of about 9,000 Landbankers, the Bank took the opportunity to institutionalize its very own employee volunteerism program called VOLUNTEERific. In 2016, the Bank  launched the VOLUNTEERific Program to articulate one of the Bank’s core values – Social Responsibility and to support the Volunteer Act of 2007 and the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 23, Series of 2012, which mandates the establishment of volunteer programs in national agencies.

Through the program, LANDBANK encourages its employees to look at the social needs of the communities where they operate, and do their share to meet such needs. These initiatives include, but not limited to the following:

The volunteerism activities of employees also complement Bank programs for its priorit sector – the farmers, fishers and other marginalized groups – by being able to directly and personally contribute to the Bank’s mandate of countryside development.

Program Milestones

To date, Landbankers nationwide have already achieved the following milestones:

As the program continues in its 3rd year, the Bank looks forward to engaging more of its employees to grow further in service, and help create a forward chain of compassion and social responsibility among its clients, partners, and the communities it serves.

According to the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA), LANDBANK is the only government agency that has initiated a volunteerism program for employees intended to adopt and support the CSC MC No. 23, series of 2012, and the Volunteer Act of 2007; so much so that it has been benchmarked by other government offices.

On top of that, LANDBANK was invited to represent government agencies as a Technical Working Group (TWG) member for the formulation of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of CSC MC No. 2012-23 led by PNVSCA.

The LANDBANK Volunteerific Program, in its efforts of promoting the culture of volunteerism, was awarded last July 2018 an Award of Excellence by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), a global network of communications professionals, in its 16th Philippine Quill Awards.
