LANDBANK employees conduct P2M relief operations for typhoon victims; donate nearly P1M to Children's Hour
Employees of the Land Bank of the Philippines led by the LBP Employees Association (LBPEA) and the Middle Management Officers Association, Inc. (LBPMMOAI) conducted relief operations in Nueva Ecija, Aurora and Quezon Province, donating close to P2 million in cash and goods.
"Our hearts go out to our fellow Filipinos who were adversely affected by the disaster," said LBPEA president Julio Badiong, Jr. "We hope that our contribution can bring some comfort to those who have lost so much."
"Relief goods generously donated by Bank employees and clients nationwide benefited 2,500 families in Nueva Ecija, Aurora and Quezon Province," added LBPMMOAI president Ma. Cristina Malab.
LANDBANK employees also contributed close to P1 million to the Children's Hour last December 2004 by donating the monetary equivalent of one hour of their working day. LANDBANK has been participating in this program since 1999.
